Hey all, For those of you that don't know, I have been interested in being a disk jockey for some time. Does anyone know of a good Christian digital(web) radio station that's hiring? It's not for money- I have a job- but I would really like the experiance. The only ones I know of are air 1, and their not hiring, and Awakened Radio, and that station is not Christian. So, if you could reply with the name and possably a link to the site, that would be great. Thanks, Lady Jane
Hey guys, just letting you know, I made a new community. It's at verseoftheweek.</span> I post a verse from the Bible every week (hence the title) and give a commontary. Only moderators can post, but anyone can comment. Lady Jane
Thanks a lot everybody. Our group came to a concensus today. We ended up going with a song I don't know by a band I've never heard of, but it was an okay song. I very close to getting Relient K 'Be my Escape', but it didn't happen. Oh, well, at least we can move forward. Thanks again, Lady Jane
I have a bit of a problem at school, and I was wondering if you guys could help. For out Comm Tech final project, our group needs to make a music video. Well, our group has sight taste differences. First, there's me, who barely knows the names of any singers besides Christian bands. I won't be involved with anything that promotes drug, suiside, or devil worship. Then there's Sam, who loves that stuff. Now we need to find something that we can both agree on. Here's what we have decided: 1. the song is going to be somewhat bittersweet with at least some angest. 2. it has to be applicable to a music video. 3. punk/rock is preferred. I'd like to have a Christian song, if possable. If I could get some suggestions for songs, that would be great. I'd also really apreciate it if you would pray that God would give me the ability to stand up for my Christian principals: to tell the truth in love. Thanks so much, Lady Jane
Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen, I have a question to pose to you: Has anyone been to Kingdom Bound? I have been considering entering the talant search there, and I was looking for your opinion on that Thank you ever so much
I'm from Sudbury I attended Glad tidings I really miss it. My family is catholic but then I started going to Glad tidings on my own and started to really enjoy it they made christanity fun and interesting. I loved the fact that it was lively music. It just made you wanna sing and dance :)
I'm now living in Australia and am missing home.. I like Australia but cannot wait to get back to Sudbury.. I'm still undecided if I'll permantly move to Australia or not... I've not found a church to compare to Glad tidings here in Australia which is sad..
Hi everyone! Happy New Year! Hehehe...well I'm new here...and I guess I'll give some background info on my faith.
I was born and raised in a Christian family (praise God for that), and my church was originally known as Indonesian Christian Church (ICC), but has moved into its own building (about 3-4 years ago or more), and is now known as Indonesian Christian Church Canada (yes, long name...lol). Anyway, I'm part of the youth group there called AYM (Anchor Youth Ministries), lead by Jesse. I suppose you could call me one of AYM's main graphic designers/general designers, as well as a back-up singer in the Music Team. I have a BIT of experience with the drums, and I can play guitar fairly well...though I seriously need to learn more chords. Anyway! Seeing as we're an "indonesian" church, the majority of our youth are Asian of course, but I am half-caucasian, half-asian.
Hmm...what else to say? I'm a big fan of Starfield and Switchfoot, but I also enjoy Point of Grace, Rebecca St. James, DCTalk, and many more. HILLSONGS RULE! Hahaha..yeah their music is amazing.
I'm 18, to turn 19 in October (2005), and...I'm in first-year University majoring in New Media Design and English.
Sheesh, I started out with background to my faith and ended up with a biography...hahaha...well, hope to get to know you all better! =)
In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow Loved, and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe; To you, from failing hands, we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.
